志野焼 Shino ware 紅志野 Benishino (Crimson Shino) Tea Bowl Japanese tea ceremony utensil with Box VA402

Shino ware (Shino-yaki) is Japanese pottery, usually stoneware, originally from Mino Province, in present-day Gifu Prefecture, Japan. It is identified by thick white glazes, red scorch marks, and a texture of small holes.

Dimensions: 5" x 3.1" / 12.6cm x 8cm
